If anybody is reading this on Wally's website, understand that I am writing this letter of recommendation today to anyone who is interested in hiring musicians to perform for special events. I am a business owner in Greensboro and recently threw a party in celebration of my business. I called all of the listings in the Yellow Pages and talked with the representatives for each Entertainment Bureau listed. I immediately weeded out the ones who obviously were not professional in their presentation of musical services they touted to provide. When I called Wally, he was the only person that really listened to me and my needs for music for my event. All others, I felt, were circling vultures, out for easy money. Wally took a very personable approach and talked with me at length, discussing options, musical selections, timing of events that were to happen throughout the evening, etc. I could tell that Wally was experienced, but more importantly, I could tell Wally CARED about my event. It has been almost two years now and Helen and I are still getting comments about how wonderful the kid’s wedding was. I keep hearing your comment over and over in my head about how much fun you had, but wanted you to know you and the “Little Big Band” were the reason for the wonderful time and level of fun had by everyone. Because Shelby and I are both in the Food & Beverage industry for a combined 12 years, we have seen our fair share of wedding entertainment. We have been witness to 15 piece bands flown in from New York, to jazz trios, to 10 piece swing bands and nothing could prepare us for the amount of fun we shared on our own big day. To say that our guests had a good time would be the understatement of the century. Wally and his band mates put on such a good show. They weren’t a group of musicians as much as a close knit bunch of friends who shared a love of music as well as a yearning to make sure the youngest child all the way to the oldest grandparent had a good time. It is hard to find people these days who treat your big event like their big event rather than just another gig, but that was never the case with the “Little Big Band”. From the second they played out first dance together (which was transcribed personally by a band member to fit their arrangement) we knew that we had made the right decision."
