Beautifully rebellious and refreshingly conscious, The Beast creates music to engage/enrage one's mentality and impassion all bodies to get up and move. The Independent Weekly calls The Beast “one of the Triangle’s new bright lights…[because it] subverts a half-dozen stereotypes.” One could think they were listening to Bob Marley, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Max Roach, Gil Scott-Heron, or Public Enemy at any point during a Beast performance.

The Brand New Life

The Brand New Life is an eight piece band based out of Greensboro and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The band's unique instrumentation, appreciation of world music, and repertoire of original compositions creates an organic sound that embodies the energy of life and the universe. The band has spent time studying and drawing from inspirations that include the ancient rhythms of Africa, the sophistication of improvised jazz, the traditions and heritage of New Orleans, the grooves of Funk, and the spirit of classical Eastern music. The Brand New Life's sound is fresh and unique, and their repertoire of original music is impressive and adventurous. Their work is appreciated by music lovers of many different styles and genres.
